Q&A
The number of lessons varies for each learner. On average, most people need around 40-50 hours of professional instruction combined with private practice. However, some learn faster and others take longer – we'll tailor your learning plan to your individual progress.
Yes! You'll take your driving test in the same car you've been learning in. This helps you feel comfortable and confident on test day. The car is fully insured and meets all DVSA requirements.
You can book your driving test yourself through the DVSA website, or I can guide you through the process. I'll help you decide when you're ready to take the test and advise on the best times to book for the Dunfermline test centre.
Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid being charged. Emergencies and illness are understood – just let me know as soon as possible. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.
I teach in a manual car. Learning in a manual gives you more flexibility as you can drive both manual and automatic vehicles once you pass. If you specifically need automatic lessons, please get in touch to discuss options.
Absolutely! Many of my students start out feeling nervous, and I specialize in patient, calm instruction. We'll take things at your pace, build your confidence gradually, and ensure you feel comfortable before moving on to new skills.
